Then down the street to where I stumbled upon po piah for the first time, which are a kind of riff on a spring roll. Yum.
Finally, mesmerized by what a woman was doing to some fish (turned out to be stingray) and later I think cockles (?), I ordered said stingray, which was delicious, cooked lidded on the grill, between banana leves in some orange concoction, sided with a sour and spicy sauce.
Unfortunately, those tricks I shared in hawker stalls 101, they did not serve me here. There were three names listed on their sign, one of which I established was some kind of noodle soup. That was not this, as I'm sure you'll agree.

I'm loving following your random food stall posts. And, if I read the post right, you ordered noodle soup but got fish (?). Anyway, it looks very appetizing.
