So I hopped on an obscenely early bus this morning to check out a) the Air Itam wet market, b) the aforementioned world-famous laksa and c) the temple.
As is to be expected, the market was terrific: loud and chaotic.
The temple was under a fair bit of construction, and was in the process of being decked out in New Years regalia, but the thing that struck me most was the juxtaposition of religious iconography and cartoon stone carvings.
