And I stumbled upon no traces during my brief sojourn in that town.I drove around aimlessly in some late afternoon sun, managed to find my way to a timeless BBQ joint far out of town (which was virtually abandoned, but only, I suspect, because everybody was at the 6:30 mass practically next door), and can affirm with certainly that pork abides in Macon, even if they have lost their AAA team.

i think they've been gone for years, if i recall. apparently macon also had a minor league hockey team called "whoopee" - that's right, macon whoopee.
