So I swore that I would not let my lovely travelling companion leave without a proper breakfast of biscuits and grits. (Up to this point, with the exception of the Breaux Bridge breakfast, which offered stellar grits and sub-par biscuits, we had been avoiding southern breakfasts, considering them the most easily replaceable meal of the day for two ladies who were working at consuming twice their usual healthy caloric intake per day.)
So today we stopped in at Jerry's for breakfast before saying goodbye to Carrollton.
It was an excellent decision.
(The gents at the Visitors' Centre kept trying to retroactively steer us towards more International options back in Carrollton, but when we made clear that what we needed was some variant of Southern Cookin', they concurred that we had done good by choosing M&J and Jerry's.)
