I haven't cooked anything in days, unless you count toasting a Fairmount bagel, adding Liberté cream cheese and smoked salmon. Yes, I've been eating in Montreal and, while the cancellation of the Symphonie Portuaire (Port Symphony) did bring a tear to my eye, I think the food made up for it.
My freezer is full of Bombay Mahal.
I have a brand new 7-Q stand mixer to play with. Life is good.

Wow, it is a thing of beauty.
How do you plan to christen her?
Does it make sausage?

Not yet, baby, not yet.
But it will!
Do you make sausage? Is that a silly question?
Um, I don't.
I have to admit, I'm not someone that is able to master each angle. I do many things really well, don't get me wrong. But sausage ain't one of them. Well, that may not be fair. I attempted sausage making with my now missing kitchen-aid grinder attachment. I made pork toothpaste. Three times.
I don't worry too much about it though, considering who I have around me that makes world-class sausages, I'm okay.
Off to Monterey for the weekend, a friend got married and is having a party about it. I'm bringing a dozen pork chops!

a freezer full! for real? can i come over?
oh so check this, scott decided to make a pork stew last tuesday, and a friend told him that you can't stew pork. So Scott was freaking out all afternoon because he already started to make it and was sure it was going to be a dry, tough disaster. But no! It was fucking delicious. I don't know what precisely he put in it, but it was fabulous.
AND, next Sunday I'm going to make a stuffed pork roast wrapped in bacon for an Easter dinner party. I suggested porc-au-lait, but my friends weren't up for it. Will wants to try it though so we should make it for him. He turned 40 last week.
When's our next date sugar pie?
